  • Born in South Africa, married with children, including teenagers of his own.
  • Spent several years studying in Yeshivot in Johannesburg and Jerusalem and has Smichah from the late Rav Aharon Pfeuffer z"l.
  • Served as Campus Rabbi for nine years with University Jewish Chaplaincy, initially in Leeds and subsequently in London.
  • Is a member of The Chief Rabbis Cabinet, previously with the Portfolio for Student Affairs, currently with the Portfolio for Drugs & Mental Health.
  • Completed an internship in Addiction Therapy with Rabbi Dr. Abraham J. Twerski at Gateway Rehabilitation Centre, Pittsburgh - USA.
  • Has a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent's College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, validated and conferred by City University.
  • Has a Private Practice in psychotherapy based in London's West End and is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
  • Piloted the establishment of NEFESH U.K. part of NEFESH - the International Network of Orthodox Mental Health Professionals and is a member of the NEFESH International Board.
  • Is currently enrolled for a Doctorate in Psychotherapy with a specific interest in "Culturally Specific Therapy in a Multi-Cultural Society".
