  • I was born in Israel in 1945 and spent most of my childhood there.
  • I came to England in 1957.
  • From 1963- 1966 I studied at Jews College.
  • In 1966 I gained a BA degree in Semitic Languages from London University and, shortly afterwards, I gained a Minister's Diploma.
  • I then spent two years in Yeshivot, Gateshead and Montreux.
  • In 1969, I returned to Jews College where I gained my Semicha in 1976.
  • From 1968 to 1971 I served as headmaster at Brixton Cheder.
  • From 1971-1976 I served as assistant Minister at St . John's Wood Synagogue.
  • For the last 25 years I have served as the Rabbi at Pinner Synagogue.

Throughout this period I have been teaching Torah and conducting many Shiurim both within my community and outside.

    For several years
  • I taught Bible Commentaries at Jews College to BA students.
  • I taught Hebrew Grammar at Menorah Grammar School.
  • I taught Religious Knowledge A-level at Hasmonean School.
  • At present, I conduct five regular weekly Shiurim in my community.

  • A Talmud Class on the Tractate Berachot, Perek Keitzad Mevarim.
  • A shiur on contemporary Responsa, dealing with current Halachik, philosophical and ethical issues.
  • A Mishnah Berurah Shiur on Tefillah.
  • A weekly Sidra Shiur for ladies.
  • A Talmud Class for teenagers Masechet Babba Metzia
  • I also teach once a fortnight on Jewish Ethics at the Masoret Institute in Hendon. This is connected with the Counselling Course.
  • I am married to Chava, who is a counsellor and a teacher.
  • I have six children and seven grand children.
